Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup French onion dip
  • 3 cups noodles (such as egg noodles)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced (optional)
  • 1 cup beef broth (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Heat the olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet, then add the diced onion (if using) and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Stir in the French onion dip and beef broth (if using) until well combined, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. Cook the noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  6. Combine the cooked noodles with the beef mixture in the skillet and mix well.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish, spreading it evenly, and sprinkle shredded cheese on top if desired.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Enjoy your casserole warm, savoring the delightful combination of textures and flavors!

Notes

Use freshly made French onion dip for best flavor. Don’t overcook the beef and ensure noodles are al dente.
