A comforting and easy dish featuring tender shredded chicken, creamy sauce, and pasta, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions or parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken by placing the breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker, laying them flat for even cooking.
  2. Mix the sauce by combining the cream of chicken soup, cream cheese, and chicken broth in a bowl. Mix until smooth.
  3. Combine the creamy mixture with the chicken in the slow cooker, ensuring the chicken is coated with sauce.
  4. Set the slow cooker to low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through.
  5. Cook the spaghetti about 30 minutes before serving according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  6. Shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker using two forks, mixing it well with the sauce.
  7. Add the cooked spaghetti and shredded cheese, stirring until everything is well combined.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 10-15 minutes on low to heat through and melt the cheese.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

Use low-sodium cream of chicken soup for a healthier option. Chicken thighs can be used for added flavor, with slight adjustments to cooking time.
