Ingredients
6 large eggs
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
Black olives (for decoration)
Spider-shaped bugs (optional, for decoration)
Instructions
Boil the eggs in a pot of water. Bring it to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, cover the pot and remove it from the heat. Let the eggs sit for 12 minutes.
Cool the eggs immediately under cold running water or in an ice bath to halt the cooking process.
Peel the cooled eggs and cut each egg in half lengthwise.
Prepare the filling by mashing the yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
Fill the egg whites with the yolk mixture.
Create the spider decoration by cutting black olives in half for the body and slicing smaller pieces for the legs. Arrange them atop each deviled egg.
Serve the finished deviled eggs on a platter.
Notes
Use fresh eggs for easier peeling. Cool rapidly to prevent gray yolks. Adjust seasoning to taste.
