Ingredients
8 oz fettuccine or penne
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
Salt and pepper, to taste
3 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.
Sauté the chicken in a large skillet with 1 tablespoon of butter until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
Prepare the Alfredo sauce by adding 2 tablespoons of butter and garlic to the same skillet. Sauté for 1 minute, then add heavy cream and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Incorporate the grated Parmesan cheese gradually until melted and smooth, adjusting consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
Combine the cooked chicken and pasta in the skillet, tossing until evenly coated with sauce. Season as desired.
Serve garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Reserve pasta water to adjust the sauce’s consistency.
